Hike of the Month - Whiterock Mountain

I don't know much about happiness, but I'm pretty sure it starts with being outside! Hiking is one of my favorite hobbies and we are lucky to live in a place with opportunities for new views. I'm offering (for free) guided hikes this year. Only one more left after this!

About the event
I hiked Whiterock Mountain for the first time in 2024 (after a client told me about the trail) and I fell in love with it! This hike is just under 5 miles out and back, with just under 950 feet elevation gain. The drive to the trailhead is almost as long as the hike itself, but there should be plenty of parking at the end of the road. Pay attention to the directions I am including in this description, because the turn is easily missed!
Take US 64 to Turtle Pond Road. Turn R. on Dendy Orchard Rd. There will be a sign on the left that says Bartram Trail Access (either the sign is not obvious, or the writing is on the opposite side), but take the left and it dead-ends at the parking area. The road is gravel.
